Results for the events are here.

Ilona (race director) has posted some photos from the weekend over at Flikr. And there's many more from Jim (controller) over at Picasa.

Update: 2010/01/23 Due to the prospect of a sharp temperature increase on Sunday morning, we may reduce the time interval between elite male starts from 3 minutes to 2 minutes, so that the last people can start earlier. Please be alert for changes on the day.

Update: 2010/01/22 The startlist (text) for Sunday's Canadian Ski Orienteering Championship race has been posted. Start times are shown as offsets from zero time, which is 9:30 am. So, hopefully obviously, a start time of 22:00 means in reality a 9:52 am start (but see the update above).

Update: 2010/01/21 - Please note that there is a mandatory set of gear that must be carried by all competitors in the full Adventure Race on Saturday. If you're doing the Adventure Race solo, then only the first group of items applies to you (i.e. you don't need a first aid kit).

Update: 2010/01/18 - The race director's notes for the 2010 Canadian Ski Orienteering Championships are now posted online.

Update: 2010/01/17 - We have decided to offer a solo option for the adventure race for $65. If you'd like to enter alone, please try the registration link below, or use the event contact link.

Out of Bounds: Since this is a Canadian Championship event, these two areas are out of bounds -- for orienteering activity only -- for all competitors. The permanent tracks may be used for skiing without a map. When the small track system is prepared for the race, the competition area shall be fully embargoed (starting January 18/10).

The map on the right shows the approximate locations of the two events. Clicking on an icon on the larger map gives more details.

SPORTident will be used for this event. For those who have not already purchased a SPORTident e-card, they will be available for rent.

While details are mostly set, please keep an eye on this page, as any last minute changes will be posted here.

Eligibility: These races are open to all-comers, but to place in the Canadian Championship you need to be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, and be a paid up member of the Canadian Orienteering Federation (COF). Membership in your local club often gets you the latter.
